It's been a while since we've updated everyone on the status of our school and team. It seems like during the long, cold winter months, the best thing to do is to hunker down and really dig into our training. There is a lot of exciting things happening this year! On March 23rd the team will be headed to the first tournament of the year. Master Devita's tournament is always a great event to shake off the rust of the winter competition break. Everyone comes out and are ready to step back in the ring to compete for the gold.
The next big event will be our annual State competition in May which will be a great warm up for the National Tournament which will be held in Texas this July. It'll be hot down there and the Team will have to be in the best possible shape to compete.
Normally Nationals would be the big event of the year but not so this year. In October, the Worldwide Tang Soo Do Family will be holding the 3rd Biennial Tang Soo Do World Championships. This years great event will be held in the city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. This will be a unique opportunity to meet TSD practitioners from all over the world. At the last event held in Walt Disney World in 2011 the United States hosted competitors from 13 countries. This is TSD competition at its highest level.
We will increase our training steadily over the next weeks and months to prepare for these awesome events. Team Coach, Mr. McManus has set personal goals for himself and as the team knows, this can only mean more sweat in their future.
Stay tuned for more updates as we quickly approach tournament season... Tang Soo!!
